Notes: This full natural coffee is produced by small independent growers in eastern Harari. Large farms are rare in Ethiopia which makes it hard to trace coffee back to a single producer. Often hundreds of micro-lot coffee is combined to offer enough green coffee for a roaster to sell. The raw coffee is often sorted by size during processing; longberry is a classification given to the largest sized beans; sorting by size allows for even roasting. This famed region of Ethiopia produces a beautiful balance between fruit and earth notes that cannot be found in other growing regions of Ethiopia.
